Glass House Brands announced on October 14, 2026 that its Casitas and Padaro farms in California achieved certification to the PJRFSI Cannabis Safety Standard GACP, according to a company press release published on its website and distributed through GlobeNewswire.

According to the company, the certification was issued by Perry Johnson Registrars Food Safety, Inc. on October 11, 2026. GACP stands for Good Agricultural and Collection Practice, a set of quality and safety standards for growing and harvesting plant material. Glass House Brands says GACP compliance is required by international medical cannabis markets it hopes to serve.

Glass House says the two farms together include more than half a million square feet of greenhouse cultivation. The company states that, when U.S. federal law and the laws of importing countries allow it, it intends to supply greenhouse-grown flower from these facilities to medical markets. Its chief executive named Germany, the United Kingdom and Switzerland as examples of markets that require GACP-compliant operations. The company also says it is working with state and federal agencies on enabling exports from California.

Why it matters: As the company's own release acknowledges, exports depend on changes in U.S. federal law and the laws of importing countries, so the certification does not by itself open international sales. Glass House Brands says the certification positions its farms to meet the GACP requirements it describes for those international medical markets if that changes.

This is a separate announcement from Glass House Brands' third-quarter production results, which we covered earlier as independent Industry News. Statements about future exports are the company's own forward-looking plans. Read the original release through the link below.
