Seed Junky Genetics announced an expanded partnership with Trulieve that extends their relationship from Florida into Pennsylvania through a new exclusive licensing agreement, according to a company press release distributed through PR Newswire. The release was posted on October 16, 2026; its dateline reads Los Angeles, September 30, 2026.

According to Seed Junky Genetics, Trulieve has licensed its genetics in Florida for several years. Under the expanded agreement, the company says Trulieve will also reintroduce Seed Junky as a standalone brand in Florida and introduce Seed Junky Genetics products to consumers in Pennsylvania.

The release describes a division of responsibilities: Seed Junky Genetics will continue to provide its genetics, intellectual property, cultivation methods, operational support and quality-assurance standards, while Trulieve will oversee cultivation, production, packaging and distribution in both states. Financial terms were not disclosed in the announcement, and it did not give a date for when products would reach Pennsylvania stores.

Seed Junky Genetics says it follows a selective licensing model built on long-term relationships with a limited number of operators rather than broad expansion.

Why it matters: Licensing well-known genetics to large multi-state operators is a common way for cannabis brands to enter new state markets, where cannabis cannot legally cross state lines and must be grown locally.
